Hairsine Floating Pedestrian Bridge

Project type

Marine Construction

Date

November 2025

Location

Hairisne Inlet

Interior Marine Construction Ltd. was proud to partner with Quattro Constructors on the replacement of the Hairsine Floating Pedestrian Bridge, a critical piece of BC Hydro infrastructure providing safe pedestrian access across the reservoir while accommodating fluctuating water levels.

As the marine construction specialist on the project, Interior Marine Construction was responsible for the marine logistics, specialized installation activities, and over-water construction required to successfully deliver the new floating bridge system. Utilizing our fleet of barges, work boats, and heavy marine equipment, our team safely executed the installation of the floating bridge, anchorage system, and associated structural components in a challenging marine environment.

The project demanded close coordination between engineering, fabrication, marine operations, and underwater construction. Inland Divers Underwater Services Ltd. supported the project by providing professional commercial diving services, assisting with underwater inspections, anchor installation, and submerged construction activities that were critical to the successful completion of the bridge.

Through the combined expertise of Quattro Constructors, Interior Marine Construction, and Inland Divers Underwater Services Ltd., the project was completed safely, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to quality and environmental stewardship. The completed bridge provides a durable, low-maintenance pedestrian crossing designed for long-term performance in a dynamic reservoir environment and showcases the value of collaborative delivery on complex marine infrastructure projects.
